Our Pre-Purchase Sailboat and Yacht Surveys are designed to provide buyers with an independent professional assessment of the vessel’s hull structure, keel attachment, rigging, auxiliary engine, and overall condition before purchase.
Sailing vessel surveys may include:
- Hull, deck, cockpit, and coachroof inspection
- Moisture testing and percussion sounding where appropriate
- Inspection of accessible structural areas and bulkheads
- Keel, keel joint, and visible keel attachment areas (where accessible / out of water where arranged)
- Deck-level inspection of mast, boom, standing rigging, running rigging, and deck hardware
- Auxiliary engine and accessible systems review
- Safety equipment and onboard systems inspection
- Detailed written report with photographs and recommendations
Unless specifically arranged, mast climbing, rig disassembly, specialist rigging certification, and haul-out are not included.
